The Ayurvedic spa services stood out, particularly the traditional Kerala massage. This particular treatment provided a welcome relief from travel-induced stiffness, opening up energy channels and inviting a profound sense of relaxation. It's commendable how the therapists employ both hands and feet in their techniques, allowing for an authentic experience steeped in tradition. The backwaters and beach in proximity to the resort added layers of tranquility, offering the perfect backdrop for unwinding with a good book or indulging in open-air dining. The culinary offerings, especially the seafood platter, complemented this immersive experience well. For anyone seeking a peaceful retreat, Poovar Island Resort delivers a well-rounded experience that balances comfort and nature, making it a worthy consideration for travelers aiming to connect with both the body and the serene surroundings.
